2008/10/08 at 3:52 pm Wayne Fecteau: This photo is actually Riverside Drive in Berlin, NH viewed from the east side of the Androscoggin River at the Bean Brook outlet; 2008/10/16 at 8:06 pm Cyndi Peabody-Paulin: Adjacent to this brook is a wooded area and a large field called Horne’s field. The neighborhood kids have played in this field and in Bean Brook for generations. Ringling Brothers circus used to come there in the 60s (maybe earlier) to early 70s. One of the city’s old reservoirs was upstream on Bean Brook in the hills. There is a large rock in the river just downstream from Bean brook that the area children affectionately called “Big Rock” and spent may hours fishing, etc.
